Your marketing team will be pleased to hear that SmartDocuments fully supports the use of custom and corporate fonts. There are generally two ways to make custom fonts available within SmartDocuments: Install the font directly on the SmartDocuments server, or Integrate the font through SmartCenter.
How It Works with SmartControl
- Embed the desired font(s) into a .dotx file within Microsoft Word. (Multiple fonts can be embedded if required.)
- Open the SmartControl System Settings.
- Navigate to the “DocEngine” tab, select the checkbox “Use DOTX with embedded resources”, and upload the .dotx file.
- Confirm by clicking “OK”. Done!
This approach ensures that documents generated by SmartDocuments use the correct fonts and maintain a consistent corporate design across all outputs.
